What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact Forms

When you submit a contact form on our website the contents of the form, including any personal information such as name, email address and telephone number, will be sent to us via email to respond to your booking enquiry. None of this personal information is stored in our database. We do not use these emails for marketing but only to respond to the contents of the form. When visitors or users submit a form, the IP address might be captured for spam protection. We use Google reCAPTCHA on our contact forms and their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service can be found here and here.

Cookies

A cookie is a tiny text file stored on your computer. You can use your internet browser to delete cookies or to prevent cookies from being placed. Disabling cookies may affect some of the functionality of the website. For more information about cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.

This website is for informational purposes only and user registration is only permitted for administrators. If you are a permitted user and you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day. Our security provider sets cookies for administrators who log in.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, widgets etc). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. Analytics

We use Google Search Console to help measure our site traffic and performance. Google Search Console does not use cookies and no personal information is collected. Our web hosting provider makes use of AWStats a web traffic analysis tool which collects information such as country of origin, browser type and operating system, referral search engine and key words entered to find our site (read more here).

Security

We make use of security services to monitor and track suspicious activity on our website. The IP Address (which can be used to determine the Country of origin), the user agent (which can be used to determine if the device is mobile or desktop) and the referrer (which can be used to determine if the request came from Google) of users who connect or attempt to connect to our site is stored for 30 days and then automatically deleted. IP addresses that are deemed to be malicious are sent to the security provider servers and deleted after 90 days.

Our website may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (administrators only), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

All data collected from the contact form is sent via email to the owner of the site to perform necessary actions based on the form submission.
